Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. had it right with his non-violent approach to changing the world. There are any number religious, political and social reasons I could cite as to why I believe we should turn the other cheek. And yet, when the teen mom in Oklahoma was faced with an intruder coming through her door with a knife, I cheered to learn she blew him away with a 12-guage. Sarah McKinley, 18, was in her mobile home alone with her 3-month old son on New Year's Eve. (Her husband, 58, had died on Christmas Day of lung cancer.) That's when Justin Martin, 24, and his alleged partner in crime, Dustin Stewart, 29, were reportedly looking for drugs that were prescribed to the deceased. I saw that interview. I think every mom out there would pretty much side with Sarah on this one. Mom's have that special "power" when it comes to protecting their babies. I wonder if someone set up an account for Sarah and her baby yet. She needs a good home. more ›
