Tenants Moving into Growing Senior Living Community
A new independent living community in Shorewood is filling up fast, and more construction is planned for the coming year.
Shorewood will be ringing in the new year with new neighbors, a whole campus of them. The seniors this campus serves are not in high school or college. In fact, not just anybody can live there. In order to be a resident at Shorewood Horizon, 820 W. Black Road, you must be older than 62. Shorewood Horizon is a new independent living community for senior citizens. As of now, 10 single-story villas are finished and rented, and tenants are moving in. Come April, another building with 40 one- and two-bedroom apartments will be completed, according to Beth Demes, the executive director of the Alden Foundation, the developer.
