Shorewood's Skooter's Earns Big "Yahoo!"
The long-awaited new restaurant moves into the old Louie's Chophouse and doesn't disappoint.
When we first walked into Shorewood's new Skooter's, we wondered if we were in Hooter's. The cute filly servers wore Daisy Duke's and cowboy hats. The new theme is Cowgirl Chic, with kitschy Western decor. We wondered if the food was going to be as good as the environment. When our group of four sat down at the table, we were soon reminded that before the place was a roadhouse, it was a chophouse. We got the same quality food that we came to expect at Louie's. Our appetizer's started with yummy gitty up shrimp. They were butterflied and grilled to a little crisp, just the way I like them. The boneless wings were flavorful but not fatty. I did not like food my husband ordered pulled pork very bland and I ordered tacos too many onions. Nachos good probably will not be back.   more ›
