Balmy Monday; Rain, Snow in Forecast this Week
Looks like Mother Nature will be sending a little bit of everything this week.
Northern Illinois residents, get ready to ride the weather roller coaster yet again this week. Temperatures in the mid-40s, rain and possibly even shovel-worthy snow are all in the forecast for Feb. 18-24. The week will start out with mild temperatures for Presidents' Day, with a high of around 46. There's a 90 percent chance of rain on Monday, then a chance of snow showers after 9 p.m., according to the National Weather Service in Chicago. Monday night will also be sharply colder, with a forecast low around 16 and a wind chill as low as 1. Brrr! There's a chance for flurries on Tuesday with a high near 20. The wind chill could be as low as -7 on Tuesday, with winds gusting as high as 35 miles per hour. Wednesday is expected to be sunny …

Thank God we are going to get snow the Village guys are way down on their OT.They wait all year to do some work on snowy days-gotta conserve that energy. I hope $4+ diesel is built into the Village's budget-if these guys didn't cruise around and talk on their cell phones what would they do?   more ›
