Police: Patient Arrested at Provena for Shooting Coke in Bathroom

The man, who gave addresses in Romeoville and Plainfield, checked in with a headache and high blood pressure. He checked out with a felony drug possession charge.

A local man went to the hospital with a headache and high blood pressure, but apparently didn't think they had enough drugs there for him, police said. Gregory Heintz, 35, got caught allegedly shooting cocaine in the bathroom of his Provena St. Joseph Medical Center hospital room. Heintz was arrested upon his release from the hospital Tuesday evening and was booked into the Will County jail on a charge of possession of a controlled substance. Heintz, who reportedly gave the police home addresses in both Plainfield and Romeoville, stopped by the St. Joe's emergency room on Sept. 12. Feds: 'Yogi,' 'Fatman' & Other Guy Nabbed On Way To Drug Robbery

Three Joliet men plotting to rob drugs from a stash house were swept up in a federal sting, officials said.

Three Joliet men on their way to rob cocaine from a stash house instead landed in the federal lockup, officials said. Nieko "Yogi" Hadley, 20, of 811 Gage St., Justin "Fatman" Davila, 23, of 565 Elwood Ave., and Davila's brother Jason Davila, 21, of the same Elwood Avenue address, all were charged with conspiring to intent with the intent to distribute cocaine. The younger Davila does not have a funny nickname, according to the feds. The three men were arrested Monday night as they were traveling north from Joliet to rob cocaine from a stash house, according to a criminal complaint filed against them. They got not farther than Romeoville, the complaint said. Hadley and the Davilas were set up by a snitch, according to the complaint. They …

What's With All The Coke? Shorewood Police Blotter

The cops made another cocaine arrest.

A midnight traffic stop turned into a felony drug arrest, police said. Samantha Hutson, 29, was in a car the Shorewood cops pulled over for an "equipment violation" near the corner of Houbolt Road and Jefferson Street, police said. During the traffic stop, police said, officers found Hutson in possession of a substance that tested positive for cocaine. Hutson, who the Shorewood police say lives in Chicago but according to Will County Sheriff's Department records has a Braidwood address, was hauled off to the county jail in Joliet. She was booked into custody on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug equipment. Hutson was the second person in two days to get collared on a coke charge by the Shorewood police.

Cocaine is a Hell of a Drug Shorewood Police Blotter

At least that's what we hear.

A western Illinois woman got caught carrying cocaine in Shorewood, police said. Katrina Dawson, 19, of 233 W. South St. in Sheffield was pulled over about 2:30 a.m. for the alleged improper use of a lane near the intersection of Route 59 and Route 52. A substance in Dawson's possession field-tested positive for cocaine, police said. Dawson was charged with possession of a controlled substance and improper lane usage. She was transported from Shorewood to Joliet, where she was booked into the Will County jail.

Shorewood and Romeoville Cops Get in on Massive Drug Bust

Local police had a hand in collaring a Joliet man who they say was riding around New Lenox Township with nearly $1 million worth of cocaine.

Shorewood officers teamed up with the Will County Gang Suppression Unit and Romeoville cops to capture a Joliet man who police say was carrying nearly $1 million worth of cocaine. Mario Gomez, 37, of 560 Meeker Ave., was caught with the cocaine about 8:40 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Maple and Gougar roads, police said. The police pulled over Gomez after he blew a stop sign in his Ford F-150, according to a statement released by the Will County Sheriff's Office. Gomez, who police said does not have a valid driver's license, was the only person in the truck. Officers said they searched the pickup and discovered a hidden compartment behind the rear bench seat.
