Man Sets Up Ex's Arrest, and Gets Busted, Too: Cops
Robert Jurica, who tackled his former girlfriend so police could arrest her on a warrant, is charged with aggravated battery for his efforts, Joliet police say.
A Shorewood man who apparently wanted to get back at a former girlfriend by having Joliet police arrest her on an outstanding warrant had his plan backfire Saturday morning, police said. Robert M. Jurica, 52, was waiting for Brandi L. Musiol, 31, to exit a business at 611 W. Jefferson St. at about 9 a.m., Joliet Police Capt. Tab Jensen said. When she did, he tackled her, put her into a bear hug and then called police, Jensen said. Witnesses observed the attack, and officers who arrived on the scene examined Musiol's injuries and decided to charge Jurica with felony aggravated domestic battery, he said.
