Joliet police are investigating the death of a 31-year-old Joliet man as an "apparent homicide," according to the Will County Coroner's Office. Antonio P. Tyler was declared dead at 5:45 p.m. Saturday in the 100 block of North Nicholson Street in Joliet, the coroner's office said in a news release. No cause of death was released. However, the Joliet Herald News reported that Tyler was shot at about 11 a.m. in the back yard of a house. An autopsy will be conducted Monday. UPDATE/12:25 p.m. A domestic dispute turned deadly early Christmas morning when a Joliet man shot a woman three times before turning the gun on himself, Joliet police Cmdr. Brian Benton said. Police responded to several 911 calls that started coming in shortly after 2 a.m. about a fight and gun shots on Spruce Slip Avenue, near Chicago Street and 4th Avenue, Benton said.
