My Beliefs
At Patch, we promise always to report the facts as objectively as possible and otherwise adhere to the principles of good journalism. We also acknowledge that true impartiality is impossible because human beings have beliefs. In the spirit of simple honesty, we encourage editors to reveal their beliefs to the extent they feel comfortable. This disclosure is not a license to inject our beliefs into stories or dictate coverage according to them. Rather, we hope the knowledge our beliefs are on the record will cause us to be ever mindful to write, report and edit in a fair and balanced manner. If you ever see evidence we failed in this mission, please let us know.

Politics
I was a registered Democrat when I lived in New York, but since I left there I have not registered with a party. It's not required to do so to vote in a primary in Illinois. I never let party affiliation influence my politics but do admit I have yet to vote for a candidate of any stripe who had a mustache.

Religion
I am a Roman Catholic and devout Mets fan.

Local Hot Button Issues
The economy is on the mind of Shorewood's officials, as it is on the minds of officials everywhere else. The recently completed Route 59 construction has local businesses hoping to rebound and come out even stronger.

Mr. Hosey,
What ever happened to Stacy's neighbor? and Stacy's children?
