Steve Engledow, Neighbor

I have been in the fire service for almost 40 years and I still enjoy every day. I have a BS in Fire Administration (SIU) and I have completed the Executive Fire Officer program at the National Fire Academy in Emmitsburg Md. I am also still a certified paramedic (Since 1978)

I started my career in 1972 with the Frankfort Fire Dept and Retired from Joliet in 2008 as a Deputy Chief. I began as Chief of Troy Fire in April of 2009.

Meeting new people and watching firefighters grow and learn is rewarding and stimulating. Shorewood is a great place and I am glad I get to make a positve impact in the community.    

I am married (Sherry) and I have one son (Andrew). We also have a black lab "Oliver'. We enjoy traveling and sailing.
