'Cops & Rodders' Car Show to Benefit Illinois Special Olympics

The Minooka Police Department's annual show will be from 5-9 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22, at Minooka Ace Hardware.

In the 1960s, the Beach Boys struck gold with their hit Giddy Up 409.

You might see a vintage 409 at the Minooka Police Department's annual "Cops & Rodders" Car Show. The show runs from 5 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22, in the parking lot of the Minooka Ace Hardware, 855 Ridge Road, Minooka.

There is a $20 entry fee for show cars. All proceeds to benefit the Illinois Special Olympics.

The show is open to hot rods, show cars and emergency vehicles. There will be a 50/50 raffle drawing and Illinois Special Olympics merchandise.
