Missing Rescue Dog Spotted

Finn the Brittany spaniel has been seen but remains missing.

Finn — the Brittany spaniel rescue dog that ran off in Joliet and made it to the Shorewood area March 31 — may have gone as far afield as Romeoville.

Finn was on his way to a new home in Canada when he got loose and made a break for it, said Susan Hennis, the Illinois co-coordinator of the National Brittany Rescue and Adoption Network.

But in the last week, Hennis said, Finn was spotted in Camelot subdivision outside Shorewood in Troy Township, and in Romeoville.

A Facebook page has been set up to get out more information on Finn and a flier has been distributed. There is a $400 reward for the dog's return.

Anyone catching site of the elusive brown-and-white, long-tailed, 30-pound spaniel is asked to call Cathy Schadel 630-701-0507 or email nbranil@gmail.com.
