The Sunday Cartoon is Coming to Patch

Patch has a Sunday cartoon.

Charley Krebs has been a newspaper cartoonist for more than 30 years and on Sunday he's bringing his work to Patch. His cartoons take a light-hearted look at life and issues affecting Chicago's suburbs.

Charley's won multiple awards from the Illinois Press Association and Suburban Newspapers of America since he began his career with Suburban Life Newspapers. His work has appeared in a variety of print and online publications and has been exhibited at venues in several western suburbs.

Here's a sample, published on a cold March day, as we all awaited the start of Major League Baseball's Opening Day.

That's all that was missing from your Patch, Joe, and was always the first thing I read in the "old" newspapers. Welcome, Charlie! DE

It's great that Charley is getting exposure on more Patch sites. His cartoons deserve more readers.

Thank you Dorothy, Maureen and Ken... it's great to be featured on so many Patch sites. Yes, the concept is to emulate the great Sunday Funnies of old. So far we have met the challenge on making the sunday deadline and being somewhat funny!
