Braidwood Police Warrior Dash Team Raised More Than $13K For St. Jude Children's Hospital

The team raised more than $6.000 last year.

About a half dozen Braidwood police officers and a group of their friends and relatives have raised more than $13,000 for St. Jude Children's Hospital leading up to Saturday's Warrior Dash.

The effort more than doubled the $6,400 raised last year.

Braidwood police Sgt. Michelle Soucie said the Warrior Dash team is 33 members strong. She and Records Supervisor Tari Atherton spearheaded the effort to raise money for St. Jude's through such activities as a gun raffle, bake sale, soliciting donations and mailings.

There is still time to contribute to the cause. Check out the team's website to donate.
