Seat belt sorrow

A Joliet man landed in the county jail after he was pulled over for failing to wear his seat belt in , said.

David Ball, 38, of 3131 Fiday Road was stopped on East Jefferson Street about 9:30 a.m. when an officer spied him driving without a seat belt, police said.

As it turned out, Ball was also allegedly driving on a suspended license and without insurance. And to top it off, he had warrants charging him with driving while license suspended out of both Will and Grundy counties, police said.

Ball was transported to the Will County jail in Joliet.

Stopped for seat belt

A New Lenox man was arrested after an officer pulled him over for failing to wear a seat belt, police said.

Daniel Miner, 22, of 1349 Spector Road was taken into custody during a 1:25 p.m. traffic stop near the intersection of Black and Bronk roads.

Miner was arrested on a Will County warrant charging him with driving while license suspended.

Miner posted bond and was released with court information.
