Shorewood Man in Court on Child Porn Charge

The Shorewood IT guy arrested in August for allegedly possessing child pornography appeared in federal court.

A man jailed since August on child pornography charges appeared in federal court Thursday.

The hearing for Christopher Kice, 41, was brief, said U.S. Attorney's Office spokesman Randall Samborne.

Kice's next status hearing was set for March 19.

FBI agents and officers took Kice in custody at his Callaway Drive home after his employer, a Chicago-area law firm,, tipped the feds to his possible possessing of child pornography.

Kice worked in the firm's information technology department.

A forensic investigation of Kice's computer equipment turned up pornographic images of young girls, . Some of the photographs were taken in Kice's home, according to the affidavit, and show the girls being fondled by the hand of an off-camera adult.

Kice has been in custody at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Chicago since his arrest. He faces a possible 30 years in prison.
