Get Well Soon, Mayor Rick

Shorewood Mayor Rick Chapman broke his ankle in three places Sunday and likely will go under the knife some time in the coming days.

Chapman said he sustained the injury when he slipped and fell on a wet tile floor.

The popular mayor lauded the work of the paramedics from the Troy Township Fire Department who responded to his home and transported him to the hospital, where he was treated until about 10 p.m. Sunday.

Chapman expects to be out of action in the immediate future and said he will require surgery.
