Family: Married for 17 years to first wife, Judie, who is deceased. He has two children with Judie. James is now married to Diane and has been for 25 years. He has two step children and eight grandchildren.

Education: Joliet grade and high schools, U.S. Marine Corps., union trade apprenticeship programs, licensed general insurance agent, certified BOCA ,IBC Building  Inspector, numerous OSHA, business law, construction management, building products classes and seminars.

Occupation: Retired Shorewood and Joliet businessman, union interiors, industrial coatings and general contractor doing work nationwide. Went to work for the Joliet Township High School District 204 part time, President of AFSCME Local No. 197.

Previous elected offices: Shorewood trustee from 2003 to the present, Joliet Precinct 42 Republican Committeeman.

Applicable experience qualifying you for the position: Eight years experience as a current Village of Shorewood trustee. My knowledge of subdivision infrastructure,  building codes, listen to the people, I know what works and what doesn’t. (Having done work all over the country you see different ideas and things that work and things that don’t work).

  • What is the primary reason you are running for this office?

To represent the people’s views for their town.

  • What will be your single most important priority if you get elected?

Create more retirement communities and improve the business climate and update all the infrastructure and  roads, eliminate gridlock on Route 52, Black and River Roads.

  • What sets you apart from the other candidates?

I am the People's Trustee, the watchdog, not a puppet for the mayor or special interest groups.

  • How long have you lived in Shorewood?

For 40 and a half  years.

  • What's your favorite thing about Shorewood?

The old home town camaradery.

  • What is the biggest problem in Shorewood?

Gridlock and infrastructure improvements ( make sure the unfinished subdivisions,(Bonding Co.) finish the roads and sidewalks etc.
