Get Betty: Shorewood Patch Cat of the Week

When it comes to a great cat, you can't beat Betty.

This week's Shorewood Patch Cat of the Week is Betty, a sweet and playful tabby-and-white kitten.

Betty's about a year old. She was found abandoned and was taken to the .

Betty has tested FIV-positive, so should be the only cat in the house or live with only other FIV-positive cats, warns the staff of the humane society.

"Betty is healthy and can still live a long life with this disease," according to a statement from the humane society. "She deserves a loving home like all our other adoptable animals."

Give Betty a chance. Stop by and meet her on a Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday or Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. at the Will County Humane Society, 24109 W. Seil Road in . Or visit willcountyhumane.org to see her and the other animals looking for a new place to call home.
